Subject: Manipulatives

I am a third grade teacher in the process of writing a thesis. I would
appreciate any guidance you might have in attaining information on the use
of manipulatives in mathematics. Research conducted on the effects of
manipulatives on student performance would be especially helpful. Articles,
mathematical standards and the like pertaining to the use of manipulatives in
mathematics would also be greatly appreciated.
