Only time will tell if you have made the right decision, but your reasoning and your proposed plan looks very promising. The one to one interaction that your child will get this summer may be just what she needs to prepare her for second grade. I also agree with you that there is a big difference in the behavior of Kindergartners and that of a 2nd grader, so holding her back, could have caused other emotional and behavioral problems.
