The BEST answer is for you to purchase, if you don't already have it, a software program called The Geometer's Sketchpad from Key Curriculum Press. It has several creative lessons on the Pythagorean Theorem which are just wonderful! See the Math Forum's dynamic geometry area: http://mathforum.org/dynamic/ Classroom resources: http://mathforum.org/dynamic/classroom.html where you can download a demo version to try out the program. There is also a video your state department should have that was created in California - there were 3 videos: 1) Pi, 2) Similarity and 3) The Pythagorean Theorem. Good luck!
