Subject: Mathematical thinking processes

I am an education officer in a state education resource centre in the east 
coast of Malaysia.

I am interested to learn more about Mathematical Thought or Mathematical 
Thinking Processes. How are they been taught or carried out in schools ?

Is there such a term as Mathematical Thought ?
