Subject: Ability grouping

We have four third grades. Our kids will be ability grouped and assigned a
teacher for their appropriate level. Many would be going to teachers other
than their homeroom teacher for math. Is this a developmentally sound
approach? I would appreciate any feedback, especially research based.
