Ginny,
  The level of language in a class is a factor of both the textbook sequence 
and the teacher's focus.  Probably the best resource would be the math 
teachers in your school district.  The second best indicator for middle 
grade mathematics terminology in your schools would be found by looking at 
glossaries of textbooks that are used.  As a tertiary source, here is a link 
to an online middle school glossary of terms.
