Subject: Applications of high school mathematics curriculum

I am seeking real world applications for high school mathematics curriculum
from 1st year Algebra through Pre-Calculus. The problems need to be non-
contrived, relevant, and must require higher order thinking. I am having
difficulty finding problems that may actually be done by real people outside
of the school environment.
