Hi, Howard, Your idea sounds interesting. However, without either geometry or trig most engineering problems are fairly trivial. Have you thought of doing some number theory or pattern building. Why not do some Algebra II topics? Have you worked on sequences and finite differences? Have you considered coordinate geometry? Do your students use a graphing calculator?
