One other option to begin is to get hooked up with either a publishing company or a non-profit organization that works on curriculum development. A few that come to mind are ETS (develops the SAT, AP, and other tests), COMAP (NP curriculum developer), TERC (NP curriculum developer), EDC (NP curriculum developer) and then any of the major publishers...
