Welcome to our educational question-and-answer service, Teacher2Teacher, a resource for teachers and parents who have questions about teaching math. Teacher2Teacher offers an archive of answers, pages of public discussions, and a form for submitting questions.

To learn more about who we are read About T2T.

The Teacher2Teacher Archive

Our public archive consists of a database of answers by our T2T staff to questions about mathematics education.

From our full browse page you can browse the archived questions and answers by math topic or education topic, or, as shown on the right, by grade level.

By Level:

    Early Elem. (PreK-2)
    Late Elem. (3-5)
Middle School (6-8)
High School (9-12)
    Early College
    Late College

To see the whole archive, search all threads without entering a keyword or selecting a category. All the answers in the archive will be returned, with the most recent answer first on the list.

Search all threads:

Math topic:
  Ed topic:

Of course you can also search the archive using keywords and specifying categories within which to search.

Teachers' Lounge (T2T Public Discussions)

A public discussion can be held around each archived thread. If you see a subject that interests you, you may comment on it, add to the answer, or start a discussion that will serve as a resource for others. See, for example, "Using the Internet in the classroom."

Public discussions do not generally involve members of the Forum staff, and new or followup questions should be asked using our submission form (see below), not as part of a public discussion, where they may not receive answers.

To browse these conversations, see the Teachers' Lounge page.

T2T Submission Form

We welcome questions about how to teach math. (If you have a mathematics question, please Ask Dr. Math instead.)

When you send T2T a question, we'll ask you to choose a grade level, a math topic, and an education topic (if possible). We do this for two reasons: to give the T2T staff information that will be helpful in answering your question, and to help you find similar questions that have already been answered. Using the categories you give us, we'll perform a simple search of our archive and tell you about answers that may match your question.

We're looking forward to your questions and ideas. Please feel free to send us comments about our service.
