From our PoW archives:

Nets of a Cube

A "net" is a two-dimensional pattern for a three-dimensional object. The pictures on the left are nets of a cube. If you cut them out and fold them into three dimensions, you will get two cubes.

When you fold up the one on the left, what shape is made by the green segments on the faces of the cube? (The segments connect the middles of the edges from which they're drawn.) Make sure you explain how you figured it out.

Bonus: Starting with the line I've drawn, how would you draw the lines on the net at the right so that they make the same shape?
