We are hosting "open sessions" for students on Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m. EDT. (6 p.m. Central, 5 p.m Mountain, 4 p.m. Pacific. If you are outside of the U.S. use the World Clock) Our next session will be on Thursday March 23

In these open sessions, you can learn about the VMT project, ask questions about how to enroll your students, and meet other math educators.

To participate, contact Johann Sarmiento using this form.

Here is an idea of how interesting student conversations get in VMT Chats:

Moderator: What did you do well tonight that helped you work as a team?
Rw34s: I thought that it was all good
tplr_21: listening to everyone's ideas
mathman: We debated till we came to conclusion that satisfied everyone
Rw34s: The debating was fun
She3628: yes, i agree w/ math man, it was fun
mpudding: we used each other's comments to formulate ideas
mathman: yes i agree with mpudding

Rw34s: not get off subject
She3628: YES!!! HALELLUJAH!!!
Rw34s: hehe (sorry)
tplr_21: yes that is a good point
She3628: we can spend less time debating and more time double checking peole's work
mathman: yes, good point
She3628: then we can have more to debate about it, in a way
Rw34s: well the debating was helpful
She3628: it was, but with double checking it is easier
mathman: The whiteboard helps us visualize the pictures better
She3628: yes it does
Rw34s: so... like the ones we discussed today, it seems as i some problems are all thought and not computation
Moderator: Good point
mpudding: yes
Rw34s: ha
mathman: yes
