- 3hrs of digitized video (~18GB)
- We talked about reducing the resolution & producing DVDs
- Log (one short sentence describing each minute) (Wanda, Ramon, Murat)
- Transcribe key segments
- Analyze key segments further
- Data sessions: collaborative interpretation of key segments (Dec 1-6)
- Conclusions, implications for the project
- Collect more data according to our results
- Task B - Statement of Collaboration:
- Description of what we think successful/unsuccessful collaboration is. (Ian)
- Task C
- Designing (at least) 3 problems for next quarter’s courses ISYS310 and INFO610. (Mathforum)
Next Quarter
- Two courses ISYS310 (senior undergrad) – INFO610 (grad: MS, PhD?) will be offered next quarter by Dr. Stahl.
- Students will be asked to solve math problems collaboratively (groups of 4)
- Sessions will take max 45min (to get an upper bound on the amount of data collected)
- We need to design math problems to facilitate these activities.
- Blackboard software will be used to support online collaboration.
- In ISYS310 students will analyze the logs of their activities afterwards to suggest software to support such an activity.
- 610 focuses more on the analysis of ongoing human-computer interaction in ISYS310.
- ISYS310: 6 groups of 4 (1 face to face, 2 online sessions)
- INFO610: 4 groups of 4 (1 face to face, 1 online sessions)
- Need at least 3 questions
- Approx. 16 online chat logs will be produced at the end of the quarter.
