Our Book!

Our focus on sense-making and communication in our Problem Solving Activity Series is so important, we wrote a book about it! Authored by Max Ray, this book gathers what we've learned about helping students become proficient problem solvers, focused through the lens of the Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practices.

Exhibit Hall: Booth 112

Stop by to talk to Math Forum Staff:
Annie Fetter, Max Ray, Steve Weimar, and Suzanne Alejandre

      Thursday [8:00 am – 5:00 pm]
      Friday [8:00 am – 4:00 pm]

Looking for an autograph? From 4:00 - 5:00 on Thursday Max will be in Heinemann's Booth 319 for a book-signing event. Also stop by our booth!

Meet the Author

Talk with Max Ray, author of our book, Powerful Problem Solving: Activities for Sense-Making with the Mathematical Practices. If you're reading your copy of our book you can access additional activities, resources, classroom videos, and more, organized by chapter. And everyone can watch some videos of Powerful Problem Solving in action and learn more about the book and the Math Forum.
