Using Technology to Increase Conceptual Understanding in Algebra and Geometry
|
Annie Fetter, the Math Forum
Thursday, October 25, 2012
8:00 - 9:00
Session 12
Meeting Room 17 (Convention Center)

Description: Many topics in algebra and geometry are difficult to address
conceptually and tend to be taught procedurally. We'll
explore interactive applets that let students "notice and
wonder," talk about mathematical situations, and develop
conceptual understandings of triangle properties, linear
equations, systems of equations, and factoring trinomials.
