I am presently a sixth grade math teacher at Bigelow Middle School in Newton. I have taught for more years than I care to admit to. Believe it or not, I started as a long term substitute social studies teacher in an elementary school when on the last day of school, my principal offered me a math-science position for the following year. I have been a math teacher ever since at the elementary, junior high, and middle school levels.

I have two girls who both went through the Newton school system. They do not live here so it would be nice to be able to communicate with them via E-mail.

I am particularly interested in this workshop since my husband works for MIT and I can use their access. It also might help me have some slight understanding of what all their scientists are talking about when I have to attend some of their functions even though this might be doubtful.

I just returned from a fabulous trip to Wyoming visiting the Grand Tetons and recommend it to all of you. White water rafting will make you forget all your other stress! Unfortunately I didn't get home until late last night so I hope this is coherent.
