Hi! My name is Nancy Hamill and I teach fourth grade in the Newton Public Schools. Newton is a suburb of Boston. I taught kindergarten for several years before I "graduated" to fourth. I love the grade level and should have switched a long while ago! Teaching this age group is a real thrill.

I have a degree in French and Spanish from Boston University. I come from Connecticut, but married life took me to Pasadena,California where I earned a teaching certificate and taught second grade and Montreal, Quebec where I taught in a learning disabilities classroom. We have been back in the Boston area for many years. My favorite project with my class this year was establishing e-mail contact with a fourth grade classroom in Christchurch, New Zealand. We learned a great deal about our similarities and differences. I hope to find more contacts around the world this year. Do you know of an overseas elementary school for us to write to? I would really appreciate the help! Bye, Nancy
