July 22-26, 1996 - Watertown, Massachusetts

This workshop will pull together teachers from the Acton-Boxborough, Newton, and Watertown school districts to introduce math on the Internet. The workshop will familiarize teachers with the basic Internet tools, introduce them to resources that are available on the Internet with an emphasis on mathematics, and expose them to current developments in other mathematics resources and pedagogy.

One goal of the workshop is to have teachers at different levels within school districts and among teachers from different school districts work tegether to deveop their own mathematics materials that wil be available to other teacher on the Internet, as well as in their home districts. This "user construction of information" is a continuing focus of the work of the Math Forum, as well as the BBN National School Network.
