My name is Mark Rubel. I have been teaching sixth grade math at the Brown Middle School in Newton, MA for the past three years. Previously, I taught sixth grade at the elementary level where I taught all subjects and developed an interest in thematic models. Many of my lessons, units, and projects integrate other disciplines and often relate to real life experiences. I would be interested in hearing from other people on the internet who also have an interest in thematic models, simulations, and integrated lessons or units that have a mathematical base. I recently played golf for the first time and would like to improve my skills. I really don't think the internet can help with that.
