E-mail: lanius@math.rice.eduCynthia Lanius is an AAUW Eleanor Roosevelt Teacher Fellow who, in collaboration with CRPC's GirlTECH, has designed and will administer a technology program during 1996-1997 at Milby High School for 100 high school girls. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the Rice University School Mathematics Project (RUSMP), and GirlTECH Program Manager of the Center for Research on Parallel Computation (CRPC). She teaches mathematics and helps design and implement teacher training programs in mathematics and technology in the Houston, Texas Independent School District. Her special interest is increasing the representation of women and minorities in mathematics, science, and technology. She also writes Spotlight on Teachers, a column for teachers in CRPC's "Parallel Computing Research," and is the creator of A Fractals Lesson for Elementary and Middle School Students.
