Jeannie Toshima

Jeannie Toshima is TEAMS studio teacher for the Mathematics In My World series and the Let's Investigate! programs, on leave from the Long Beach, California Unified School District where she was a mathematics specialist for Chapter 1 students. She is contact person for the TEAMS Project - Hands Across America! During her 20 years of teaching, she has taught grades six through nine in both Mathematics and Physical Education. She has been a mathematics mentor, has presented at various conferences and workshops, and has conducted inservice sessions for teachers and parents. She is also actively involved in the Southern Section of the California Mathematics Council.
