Kaisa Vähähyyppä
E-mail: kaisa@freenet.hut.fiKaisa Vähähyyppä is a teacher at the Puolalanmaki School and High School in Turku, Finland. She has twice participated in and once organized a Puzzle Now e-mail project on the Internet, sending out a puzzle once a week for six weeks with a jury of her students selecting the winner of the week (original idea from Heidi Bernard). Kaisa has built some Puzzlerooms in DU (Diversity University moo.du.org 8888), and wishes to use them with students and to teach students to program their own puzzles. Her students have tried to solve the Forum's Geometry Problem of the Week, and she would like to find partners with whom to share puzzles so that her students can solve mathematical tasks and discuss the solutions online. Kaisa writes: "I like especially geometrical puzzles and I'd like to find ways to teach my bilingual classes (Finnish/English) to have Math 'pen-pals' too." See Kaisa's picture on the Web (she's number 21).
