  3. Let a = 1. Describe the change in the graph when the value of n changes:

      from 2 to 5

      from 2 to 1/2

  4. If the x-axis is the mirror, what function is the reflection of the function whose equation is y = x2?

  5. Write the equation of the functions which are the mirror images of the following functions in the x-axis:

      y = 5x2
      y = 3x5
      y = -4x3

  6. If the equation is changed to y = axn+k, describe the effect k has on:

      the table of values of the function
      the graph of the function
