Mathematics Department, Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois

Mary Jane Sterling has been teaching at Bradley University in Peoria, IL since 1979, primarily introductory-level courses. She has been very involved with Bradley's Business Calculus course and its "adjustment" to a reform-type course. She has become the department consultant on Texas Instrument calculators and is involved in curriculum development.

This summer Mary Jane is teaching Calculus 115 and is also developing "Math 101 Online,: an online course to be used at Bradley next summer, for which she is learning "TeX, HTML and everything in between." A sample page for the course is on the Web.

Mary Jane is anxious to be part of the Forum's Advanced Institute to see what others are doing, hear about their successes and frustrations, and contribute what she can.
