My name is Ellen Terry and I am presently involved in the Math Forum
workshop for the next two weeks. I teach math and language arts to 7th
grade students. Because of a grant from WHYY, I received a modem, a phone
line and a internet account to attach to the computer that I have in my
classroom. I'm hoping that this workshop will assist me with integrating
the computer and the internet into the curriculum.
My favorite resouce this past year have been the facilitators of the
Teaching and Learning Network in the Strawberry Mansion Cluster. They have
provided me with open-ended math activities and teaching techniques
on using them with my classes.
I learned how to do tessellations in one of the Math Forum Workshop sessions. Above is a sample of my work.
