Cut out and use the digits and symbols to make math expressions that equal the numbers from 1 to 100. Example: ((2 * 0) - 1) + 8.
2018 Manipulatives
Rules of the Game: Use only the digits 2, 0, 1, and 8, in any order*, with the operations +, -, x, ÷, ^ (raised to a power), sqrt (square root), ! (factorial), and !! (double factorial) to write expressions for the counting numbers 1 through 100. Grouping symbols may also be used. This year, see how far you can get without using multi-digit numbers such as 20, 210, .02. However, the online submission form will still accept multi-digit numbers. Write your answers without using equals signs.
Correct format: (2 * 0) - 1 + 8.
Incorrect format: 2 * 0 = 0 - 1 = -1 + 8 = 7

*The order 2, 0, 1, 8 is preferred.
