Investigating Triangles

Move the ends of the red, blue, and green segments to try and answer the following questions:
  1. Can you change the length of the red segment so that the triangle disappears?
  2. Can you do the same with the blue and the green?
  3. Show the circles and explain what's happening when the triangle disappears.
  4. When the triangle disappears, how does the length of the remaining segment compare to the sum of the lengths of the other two segments?
