2011 Online Mathematics Learning and Teaching Symposium
Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 7:30 - 9:00 PM Thank you for your
interest in the 2011 Drexel University/Math Forum Mathematics Education Symposium. If you have not yet registered, there are still some spaces available. Please

The symposium will consist of three presentations by Drexel Faculty, Math Forum staff members, and graduate students on topics of
mathematics teaching, student learning, and online professional development. Presentations will include:
- Using Screen-Capture Movies to Assess Quadrilateral Constructions in Sketchpad
Annie Fetter (Math Forum PoW Administrator and Math Ed Faculty)
Christina Foran (Math Ed Graduate Student)
- Why 2>4: A proof by induction
Max Ray (Math Forum Collaboration Leader and Math Ed Faculty)
- Learning Math and Learning to Teach Math Online: How and Why?

We expect the symposium to last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes, though it might take a bit longer if the sessions or Q&A go longer than scheduled.
The symposium will take place online using Adobe Connect and all you need to participate is a computer, an internet connection
and speakers. All you need to do is direct your browser to the following website (if the URL below is not a link, you may need to

The symposium will start at 7:30 PM (East Coast/Philadelphia Time), but you may wish to login a few minutes early to check your
connection.
