

Given: a regular octagon.
Observe:
Four diameters divide the circle into eight equal sectors.
The diameters are also the diagonals of the octagon.
Each of the eight central angles is 45 degrees.Draw eight more diagonals which do not pass through the center of the circle.
Find two squares.
Can you find and demonstrate inscribed angles that are half the central angle? For the square? For the octagon? (A central angle is an angle whose vertex is located at the center of a circle; all the vertices of an inscribed angle lie on the circle.)
