   I noticed that he didn’t divide the gumballs all equally. I was wondering why he gave jayson half, but then divided the rest of them up in a different way. I was also wondering if jayson got the most?

   I notice that Charlie is splitting the gumballs in half each time he shares some with a friend. He splits the gumballs in half 3 times. He gives 5 gumballs to his sister at the end. He is left with 10 gumballs. I wonder how many gumballs Charlie had to begin with? I wonder if there is a formula to figure this out? I wonder who has the most gumballs? I wonder if the gumballs can be divided equally among everyone?
