Drexel University Noyce Scholarship Program | Complexification

Texas Instruments (TI) is leading a math education initiative
based on the hit series "NUMB3RS." In partnership with CBS,
and working in association with the National Council of
Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), TI has created an educational
outreach program promoting the many uses of mathematics and
supporting math teaching.
The program begins with the first episode of the season,
premiering Friday, September 23 at 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT and
9:00 PM CT on CBS.
The program includes TI and NCTM-developed math education
activities for teachers and students based on the "NUMB3RS"
TV show. The activities will be based on the mathematics
presented in each episode, and will be available at:

DREXEL UNIVERSITY NOYCE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Drexel University Noyce Scholarship Program is a
partnership between Drexel University's School of Education,
the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Biomedical
Engineering and the School District of Philadelphia. This
program is funded by the National Science Foundation.
Its objectives are:
- To recruit qualified Science, Engineering and
Mathematics students and professionals dedicated to
teaching math or science in the School District of
Philadelphia
- To provide strong preparation addressing content
knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, learner
knowledge and technology integration
- To provide mentoring and induction activities.
Individuals selected to participate in this program
will become certified teachers of mathematics, biology,
physics, chemistry, earth and space science or general
science.
