15 April 2002 Vol. 7, No. 15 THE MATH FORUM INTERNET NEWS World's Largest Math Event - NCTM Elementary Interactivate Guide | COMPASS Curriculum Showcase WORLD'S LARGEST MATH EVENT - WLME 8 http://nctm.org/wlme/wlme8/ The eighth annual World's Largest Math Event (WLME 8) is slated for April 26, 2002, with the theme "Entertaining Mathematics." WLME 8 continues the spirit of celebrating mathematics as an important part of life itself, inviting the participation of teachers and students in grades K-16 from around the globe. This event sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) features mathematical investigations and problems related to the entertainment industry.
