I highly recommend to all the book _Designing Groupwork: Strategies for the
Heterogeneous Classroom_ by Elizabeth Cohen (of Stanford University) who is
a great contributor to the theory and practice of cooperative learning.
This is published by Teachers College Press in paperback - (Columbia
University, 1234 Amsterdam Ame., New York, NY 10027). Really, really
excellent with very practical suggestions. _Cooperative Learning_ magazine
is also a wonderful resource (136 Liberty St., Santa Cruz, CA 95060;
408/429-6550. It has concrete suggestions, research, and specific
descriptions of applications in real classrooms at all levels.
