Many lives of binomial coefficients

In 1996 Gian-Carlo Rota spoke at the Seattle Mathfest
on "The Many Lives of Binomial Coefficients." Does anyone know
if this was ever published as a article anywhere? (And can they
cite the journal, etc.?)
