Ummm, looks like I missed the point of your question.

You are actually asking why the Lefthand Side of the equation is
equivalent or the same as the Righthand Side.
Like proving an identity.
Not solving fo the unknown/variable.

No wonder now why in the 3 equations you gave, the LHS always equalled
the RHS.

I should have seen that.
They're identities, I mean.

Zeez, I am getting old myself.
