BT BOCES curriculum is available again

Broome-Tioga BOCES BlackBoard is now working again, so users can now
access our regional HS curriculum as a guest.
About twice a year for the last several years I've posted information
about how to access the Broome-Tioga regional curriculum for the new
math courses, and many teachers have told me they found it helpful.
But lately teachers have been getting messages about "Access
forbidden" when they try to view the curriculum documents.
It turns out that a BlackBoard upgrade in June prevented guest access
to documents (unintended). BT BOCES did another upgrade last Friday
(Aug. 20), and as far as I can tell, guest access has been restored.
In particular, if you are working on A2T for the coming year, you
might find this site useful.

Broome-Tioga BOCES has had curriculum projects over the past few
summers in which area
teachers worked together to develop a HS math curriculum. There are
curriculum maps (and time lines, and lesson ideas) for each of the 3
new Regents courses. (For Int. Alg. there are both 1-year and 2-year
timelines.) There
are also curricula for some accelerated courses and for some non-
Regents courses after Int Alg.
All these curriculum maps (and other materials) are available on
Blackboard. To get to them, follow the steps below:
(I'm not sure about the sequence of some of these steps. But something
like this should get you there.)
1) Go to http://dl-btboces.org/
2) [this step is no longer needed?] Click on "user login"
3) Click on "Preview as Guest" to access Blackboard as a guest (on the
right-hand side)
4) Click on the "Courses and Communities" tab
5) Click on "Broome-Tioga BOCES"
6) Get to the course for bt.mgolden.08-09 (on about the fourth page of
courses)
7) Click on bt.mgolden.08-09
8) You will see links for:
Accelerated 7th grade
Int Alg in 1 Year
Int Alg in 2 Years
Int Alg Accelerated
Geometry
Foundations of Geometry
A2T
Foundations of A2T
9) Under each course you will see folders for:
Curriculum (curriculum map)
Outlines & Timelines
Tasks
Lesson Plans
as well as some other materials.
