that code will save the figures in reverse order. i.e if you have 3 figures open with handles 1, 2, and 3. then figure 3 will be saved as figure1.fig; figure 2 will be saved as figure2.fig; and figure 1 will be saved as figure3.fig.

to correct this you can just switch the file naming convention:

saveas(h(i), ['figure' num2str(lenth(h)+1-i)], 'fig');
