This is the 2005 standard: 7.G.7 Find a missing angle when given angles of a quadrilateral There is nothing in the 7th grade standards regarding properties of parallelograms or parallel lines cut by a transversal.
Also, there were multiple choice questions on the test which required a formula given on the formula sheet (in book 3 only). However, the formula was NOT embedded in the question.

I was given the understanding that only multiple choice would have field test questions.

In my conversation it was indicated it wasn?t an embedded question, but I was surprised that I was told either way. Gene

Is it possible that this one one of the embedded field test questions?

The teachers in my district have a concern about one of the items
on the 7th grade math assessment: we feel the question is not aligned to
the 7th grade curriculum. We feel that the item should be withdrawn.
We think this is not a judgment call or a matter of interpretation -- it's
just not in the 7th grade standards, nor is it in the standards for
grades K-6. When we called SED, they defended the question,
but their reasons are not persuasive -- at all. The performance
indicator that Pearson assigned to this item simply does not match
the content of the question.
When we called SED, we were told that only a few districts have
expressed a concern about this item. If you feel that there is an
item which does not align with the standards, I encourage you
to contact APDA at 518-474-5902. You don't need to get into
a long discussion with them, just make your concern clear.
(I can't be any more specific because it's a secure test and
we can't discuss actual item content publicly.)
