All primary complex cultures invented math of various forms. These are the
cultures that originated in what is now peru, mexico, egypt, iraq,
pakistan, and china.

All of them had similar problems to solve. All invented math and some came
up with the same concepts and methods. There is no single example where
math in general can be said to have been invented.

By the time of the vedic age in s. asia math was well underway in many
places.
