There was a type in the last message. The command should read:

print('-depsc', '-painters', FigureHandle, [name '.eps']);

However (in my case) this results in *.eps files which couldn't be opened by Corel Draw X6 any more (on an i7 quad core machine with 8GB Ram ...).

So this did not solve the problem for me (and I'd suggest not to use the '-painters' option)
