I think you _are_ being too harsh on Tony. He isn't a newbie, or a crank or an idiot. He has made positive contributions to other threads and has taken time to answer dumb questions from other people. I haven't yet had time to read his posts in this thread since the one in which he initially stood (or stuck) by his seriously problematic argument, and when I do read them I may not have the time or expertise to attempt a more detailed refutation than I already have, but I think he deserves better than abuse.
