Einstein created a Tower of Babel
when he "discovered" Planck's **quantum** of action,
in the LITERATURE, ( As Mahipal Observed.)

and with the help of the Mass Media,

brainwashed the masses to believe
that particles called "photons"
travel between sources and sinks
and convey quanta of energy.

1. A "photon" is an EVENT
whereby a SPECIFIC wave length
of an electro-magnetic standing wave
shifts one quarter wave length and
causes electrons at both ends
( Source and sink.)
to shift from one stable state to another.

2. Change is conveyed between a source and a sink
by electro-magnetic WAVES.

3. In a lossless, total-internal-reflection path,
the electro-magnetic standing wave persists
until such time as conditions are right
for a sink electron to shift to another state,
at which time a PHOTON EVENT occurs.

In other words,
the universe is a sea of electro-magnetic standing waves,
a PHOTON EVENT does not exist

UNTIL

conditions are right to allow
an electron to move to another state.

The maximum amount of energy ( Actually action )
is transferred WHEN the load impedance
equals the source impedance,

and in a quantum interaction,
the maximum energy
and the minimum amount of energy
is the same, ONE QUANTA.

Newton had this figured out very well
with his Newton's Cradle,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Newtons_cradle_animation_book_2.gif

and Planck discovered that he could express
a one cycle quantum change as
angular momentum with his constant.

Photon events occur at sources and sinks,
and electro-magnetic waves
exist between a source system
and a sink system.

When nothing is happening
a STANDING WAVE exists,
and when a photon event occurs,
the wave shifts one fourth of a wavelength.

Also take a look at "group velocity".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Wave_group.gif

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Group_velocity

Also observe that stable VOLTAGE levels
exist in electron systems,
and if you calculate the levels
you will find that you get a much better fit with measurements
using "fine structure constant" squared divided by two,
than you do using gamma.
