Subject: G. B. Shaw quote

I read somewhere that one of my favorite writers (but not anymore, I am
afraid!), namely G. B. Shaw, once wrote that

<quote>
..... he was glad to get out of Athens "with its stupid classical Acropolis
and smashed pillars" .....
</quote>

Does anyone know the entire passage?
