Such a pleasure to hear from you again!!

You have totally misrepresented my views and have totally botched what the
time line represented. It had nothing to do with what you allege. The list on
page 7 of "Investigating Mathematics" only described events to be placed on a
time line which portrayed our system of government, and, particularly
economics in a bad light.

I can imagine the justifiable outrage from the Left if the Christian
Coalition devised a similar time line for ninth graders to construct with
their historical POV emphasized. How would "197?-Year Supreme Court decides
Roe v.Wade opening up wholesale abortions". Get the idea? 

This has nothing to do with any kind of conspiracy by anyone. But it has
everything to do with the mind set of the educational establishment which is
decidedly liberal, ooops, excusez moi, progressive!!! The NCTM is an
excellent example of this in that every publication they put out is brim full
of statements about "equity" and "diversity", two mantras of the educational
 Left. If this isn't apparent to you, I'd suggest you get away from the U of
M.
