Subject: Simplex Formation
If I break a stick into six random sized pieces, what is the
probability that I can use them to form a tetrahedron
(regular or otherwise)?
In general, if I break a stick into (N*N+N)/2 random pieces, what is
the probability that I can use them to form an N
simplex(regular or otherwise)?
I know that the largest piece can't be more that 0.5 of the lengh of
the original stick as is true with the
traditional broken stick problem.
