What? "Left" of what? zero is not on the right or left on the number line, It is the start.

( 1 + (-1) = 0 )

This equation PROVES zero has space on the number line...if it did not the equation would not equal zero. This equation also shows that the "space"...or (_)...is the same for 1,0,-1.....we know however the values are different....
