CURRENT SEARCH: SCREENING BEGINS NOVEMBER 1, 2004.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
Department of Teaching and Learning.
Minimum requirements are:
- An earned doctorate in Elementary Education, Curriculum and
Instruction or closely related field by position starting date of
August 1, 2005.
- Three years teaching experience in grades K-8.
- Academic preparation in math education.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include experience in:
- Supervision of field-based experiences.
- Working with a diverse study body.
- the use of technology in instruction.
This tenure-track position includes teaching undergraduate and
graduate level mathematics methods courses, scholarly productivity
with opportunities to work with a major NSF grant, supervision of
field-based experiences, ability to work in partnership with local
schools, and involvement in professional organizations.
