I need help with the following problem:
( I just need some clue as to what to do with the following problem:
7+5[(3 + 2)exponent 2 - (2 exponent 3 + 1)]

What I TRIED to do with this problem was this:
7+5[(3 + 2)exponent 2 - (2 exponent 3 + 1)]

becomes:
12[(5 exponent 2 - (8 + 1)]

which later becomes:
12[ (25)- (9)]
which ends up as:
12(16)
this SEEMS good....except that the four choices that are
available are:
A) 22 B)36 C) 87 D) 97

Since 16 X 12 = 192, that can't be the answer.
so.....I need help.....any clue on how to solve this problem?
