Having seen the solutions of Schrodinger's Equation (time independent, not
that it really affects anything anyway) for the cases of the free
particle, particle on a line, particle in a box, etc, I was wondering if a
nice analytic solution exists for the case of a particle confined to a
two-dimensional circle or a 3-dimensional sphere? Does anyone know if this
has been solved at all? Can someone point me to a reference or sketch out
a derivation of the solution?

Thanks.
