As rumor has it......
I have taken a position within TI as the West Coast Regional Director.
The new territory includes some wonderful places: Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, California, Nevada and Hawaii :-)
So I guess I will suffer this winter visiting the southern areas of my territory.
My only regret is leaving you -
The past few years as your ETC have been some of the most rewarding experiences in my life and I wouldn't of traded them for anything.
It has been a pleasure to be surrounded by so many dedicated professionals that have shared my love for math education.
Together, we have made a difference and I truly believe you will continue to usher in the most well equipped students our nation has ever seen.
I am very proud to have been a small part of your legacy.
Should you want to check out the west coast, I recently found out that the Southern CA math association actually will pay your travel expenses if you present multiple sessions at their state conference in Southern California. I will make sure you get a copy of the proposal if you want one!
I hope you join me in welcoming your new ETC for upstate New York - Mr Dana F. Morse :-)
Dana will be joining the TI team in early January.
In the meantime, please contact Terri Viana at tviana@ti.com to help you or to schedule any presentations
Fran Bellows will continue to service NYC and Long Island. Fran's email is fbellows@ti.com
I hope you have a wonderful holiday and I will miss you, so make sure you stop by the booth at NCTM or T^3 so we can catch up!
Take good care and travel safely where ever you journey takes you,
Melody
